This faint little stinker is hardly worth the effort. The sketch at left records a 129X view of NGC 6756 in my 10-inch equatorial Newtonian. The cluster is pretty well centered. It's 10.6 magnitude glow is produced by 40 stars scattered across a 4' area, according to Lynga. My 10-inch reveals a handful of members and the subtle glow of stars just beyond resolution. A close pair of 8th and 11th magnitude GSC stars stand at the northeast edge of the cluster. Sixty field stars frame the view. NGC 6756 loiters 1.4 degrees south of 5.2 magnitude 19 Aquilae. NGC 6755 lies just outside the field to the southwest.
