NGC 1502: Open Star Cluster (Camelopardalis) RA: 04h 07.8m / DEC: +62° 19'.9 Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder |
This pretty little cluster is harbored away in northern Camelopardalis. NGC 1502 resides 1.4 degrees north of NGC 1501. The sketch at left presents the view in my 10-inch Newtonian at 82X. The 6.9 magnitude cluster is spread over a 7' area. A close pair of 7.0 magnitude stars lie at the heart of NGC 1502. These are surrounded by 21 additional cluster members in my drawing. |
