NGC 7342: Barred Spiral Galaxy (Pegasus) RA: 22h 38.2m / DEC: +35° 29'.9
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

Pegasus is home to many fine galaxies. NGC 7342 appears in the sketch at left, which represents a 190X view in my 10-inch Newtonian. The galaxy covers a 60" diameter area with no discernible brightening at the core. I recorded 43 field stars making this sketch. Many are in the 13th and 14th magnitude range. NGC 7345 resides 7' due east of NGC 7442.
