NGC 6451: Open Star Cluster (Scorpius) RA: 17h 50.7m / DEC: -30° 12'.0
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

NGC 6451 is a 7' diameter open star cluster in Scorpius. It's fairly bright at 8th magnitude and located 3.2 degrees west of 3.0 magnitude Gamma Sagittarii. My drawing captures the cluster's appearance at 82X in the 10-inch Starfinder. The 13 brightest members are shown as is the subtle glow of unresolved stars.
