NGC 4203: Galaxy (Coma Berenices) RA: 12h 15.1m / DEC: +33° 11'.9
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

The far northern reaches of Coma Berenices provide safe harbor to NGC 4203. The appearance of this SO-type galaxy in my 10-inch is captured in the sketch at left. NGC 4203 is bounded by 8.2 magnitude HD 106509 to the immediate north. The 10.9 magnitude galaxy displays a stellar core region embedded within a 2' diameter nebulosity. The bright star just inside the southeast border of the field is 5.0 magnitude HD 106760, 19' southeast of the galaxy.
