Herschel 400 Objects

NGC 4147: Globular Star Cluster (Coma Berenices) RA: 12h 10.1m / DEC: +18° 32'.5
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

NGC 4147 is the only non-galaxy in my March Herschel list. This 10.4 magnitude globular cluster is moderately condensed showing some irregularity around the edges. It appears as a salty 4' diameter swatch of light in my 10-inch Newtonian. NGC 4147 can be found 3.6 degrees west-northwest of M85. 8.0 magnitude HD 105865 marks the field about 14' east of the globular cluster.
