Corvus, the Crow, is home to this object. My 10-inch Newtonian presents NGC 4027 as a 4'x2' oval appearing somewhat brighter in the northern and western quadrants. Twenty-one field stars, including several 10th and 11th magnitude GSC stars, provide the framework. 5.3 magnitude HD 104337 is one-half degree to the southeast, 10' beyond the eyepiece field boundary. NGCs 4038 and 4039, the Ringtail Galaxy, are about 41' to the northeast.
