Herschel 400 Objects

NGC 4026: Galaxy (Ursa Major) RA: 11h 59.4m / DEC: +50° 57'.7
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

NGC 4026 is a 10.8 magnitude SO-type galaxy about 3 degrees south-southeast from 2.4 magnitude Gamma Ursae Majoris. Oriented along a north-south axis, this stellar metropolis shows as a 3'x1' patch with a bright, stellar core in my 10-inch Starfinder at 82X. The bright star 7' to the northeast is 9.4 magnitude HD 233887.
