NGC 3504 is pictured in the sketch at left. The drawing presents the view in my 10-inch Newtonian at 63X. The 11.1 magnitude galaxy is situated near five 8th-to-13th magnitude stars grouped to the west. NGC 3504 features a bright core region, 3'x2', surrounded by a fainter nebulosity, 6' in diameter. Fourteen field stars frame the display. 7.1 magnitude HD 95725 shines about a degree due north. While in the area, look for NGC 3486 1.2 degrees to the northwest.
