NGC 2232: Open Star Cluster (Monoceros) RA: 06h 28.0m / DEC: -04° 50'.9
Instrument: 10-inch Starfinder

This bright cluster is easy to find. Center 3.8 magnitude Beta (11) Monocerotis and slew 2.2 degrees to the north. The view in my 10-inch Starfinder is presented in the sketch at left. Most of the 39 field stars are cluster members, including several 7th and 8th magnitude sparklers. The brightest member, however, is 5.1 magnitude 10 Monocerotis, which is nearly centered in the sketch.
