SEDS is a student-based organization that promotes space exploration through public education. They host sites offering information on a wide variety of topics of interest to amateur astronomers, including Bill Arnett's Nine Planets solar system tour; the history of deep-sky observation; the Messier catalog; the William Herschel catalog; and Dreyer's New General Catalog, the NGC.
